the funeral

A young woman attends the funeral of an estranged friend who she hasn't seen in years and is confronted by circumstances that alter her perspective on life, death, and what is real. The book is an expanded version of an original short story published under the same name and more closely follows the film version of the story called In the Warm Light of Forever.

"Most of us are so unconsciously mired down in the fear of death and dying that we spend countless years simply going through the motions and completely miss out on the part where we're supposed to live life. In truth, death is as much a part of life as life itself."  --Daniel Ali

The film version of this insightful little story is a captivating peice of cinema that has gotten great reviews from critics and film lovers alike. It currently making its rounds on the festival circuit and has been selected for screening at some of the top film festivals around the world including the Roma Short Film Festival in Rome Italy.
